Describe the qualities that your program is looking for in a potential student-athlete?

The qualities that I look for is a good student athlete that excels on and off the field. He must carry himself real well on and off the field. We here at USCIENCES are heavily favored towards our academics; so academics comes first and then baseball. I am mainly looking for a student athlete that can manage his time well and never miss any practices or games. The player must also better himself each year in baseball and academics; there is always room for improvement.

Could you give us an example of a current or former player who exceeded your expectations, highlighting the reasons that player excelled?

An example is my current short stop. He is a senior who came to me at 150lbs and had no bat speed. He also had problems in school his freshman year. He has progressed greatly through the next 3 years. He managed all his time perfectly with lifting, practices and classes. He never missed any practices/games, lifting sessions, meetings and class. He now weighs a sold 190lbs and hits the crap out of the ball and is currently carrying a 3.12 GPA. He was also named All Conference in his sophomore year. He currently has three companies looking to hire him in his field.
