Describe the qualities that your program is looking for in a potential student-athlete?

We look for student-athletes who “fit” the college and program academically, athletically and socially. The academic/athletic balance is extremely important and the athletes who put emphasis on both are typically the most successful in our program.

Could you give us an example of a current or former player who exceeded your expectations, highlighting the reasons that player excelled?

Athlete X was a top academic student and above average athlete in high school (limited potential due to injuries). At our college, Athlete X has taken leadership roles in residential life, Greek life (without sacrificing his dedication to the team or results), has earned some of the most prestigious academic honors available and has earned All-American status and school records. Family support, coach support to have more than one “#1” in his life and a discipline are the critical pieces to his success.
