college student-athlete adviceBy Steve O’Brien – Goal: College Athlete

Have you registered with NCAA Eligibility Center? If you are a high school athlete, in any grade, who wants to play NCAA Athletics you should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center ASAP. Becoming certified is a MUST to be able participate in NCAA athletics. The Eligibility Center guides you through the steps in becoming certified. Most importantly, it provides the core-courses you need to take in high school to be eligible to play NCAA sports.

Within the Eligibility Center website, you are able to create an account where you can insert transcripts, NCAA core-courses completed and SAT/ACT standardized test scores. It also provides you with information on what is needed to participate at the Division 1, 2 and 3 levels, and what you should be doing each year of high school to work toward certification.
